This year, Santa Claus and his helpers from Constructor University distributed 308 presents during the Make a Wish campaign. They fulfilled wishes of the children at the Am Fillerkamp and Neuenkirchener Weg daycare centers and the EPSYMO association in Bremen-Nord.

Every year, Make a Wish is organized jointly by the Parents' Association for Psychomotor Development, EPSYMO e. V., Vegesack Marketing and the Rotaract Club of Constructor University. The children write wishes worth up to 20 euros on slips of paper, which are then hung on Christmas trees in Vegesack and on the campus of Constructor University. Anyone who is interested can take part in the campaign by picking a wish list from the tree and getting the gift mentioned there. If you manage to get hold of a list, that is, as you have to be quick: "Within a few days, all of the lists were taken down and all of the wishes were fulfilled," says Rizul Gupta, one of the student organizers of the event.

Magnetic building blocks, Playmobil, cuddly toys or puzzles were requested by the children. "Handing out the gifts was like a beautiful trip down memory lane to when you yourself still believed in Santa Claus,” says student Av Snyder, who assisted the Santas. They were portrayed very convincingly by Dean Arvid Kappas and Professor Alexander Lerchl from Constructor University. In addition, Andrés Matallana Bríñez, Pauline Désirée Gantzer, Janek Esche, Ari Platow and Thomas Sibon got involved in the wish list campaign.

“Organizing Make a Wish is such a bliss,” says Rizul Gupta, a Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology major at Constructor University and president of the Rotaract Club at the international university. “It is so rewarding to be a part of something that brings over 300 children so much joy. It was definitely worth all the time and effort of preparation and it could not have been possible without all of the volunteers.” This edition was the 14th Make a Wish campaign, all in all, 3739 children's wishes have been granted throughout so far.
